Contact information
Concerning privacy and all related requests, you can only contact us by email at the above address. We do not have a separate Data Protection Officer.

Principle
Protecting your privacy is important to us. This declaration sets out our legal notice and our privacy policy, i.e. the processing of personal data collected via our website or online services, or more generally, in connection with the services we provide.

We collect and process your personal data with the utmost care and in compliance with the applicable legal provisions; processing is limited to what is strictly necessary and only for the purposes described in this declaration. We will only store your personal data for as long as is necessary to provide our services or as required by law. In close collaboration with our hosting provider, we make every effort to protect our databases from external intrusion, loss, misuse and falsification.

This declaration is based on the European Data Protection Regulation (RGPD). Although the RGPD is an EU regulation, it is of great importance to us. The Swiss Data Protection Act (nLPD) is strongly influenced by European law, and companies outside the EU or EEA are required, in certain cases, to comply with the RGPD.

Use of personal data collected
We are committed to processing your personal data in a way that respects your privacy and complies with current Swiss and European legislation. We collect data when:
- you subscribe to our newsletter (name, email)
- you subscribe to the directory of 10 seed-groups (organization, activities, name, email, and other optional info).
- you register to become an IPS member (name, email, postal address, language, and other optional info).
- you make a donation via PayPal (name, email)

Logging and statistical data
In addition, we automatically receive and record data from your computer and browser, including your IP address, software and hardware, and the page you request.

When you visit our website, our host's servers temporarily store each access in a log file. The following data are recorded without your intervention and stored until they are automatically deleted (IP address of the requesting computer, date and time of access, name and URL of the file accessed, website from which access was made, possibly with the search term used, operating system of your computer and the browser you are using, type of device in the case of access by cell phone, city or region from which access was made and the name of your Internet service provider).
This data is collected and processed to enable use of our website (establishment of a connection), to ensure long-term system security and stability, to analyze errors and performance, and for website visit statistics.

Cookies
On our website, we use "cookies" and other similar techniques to identify your browser or device. A cookie is a small file that is sent to your computer, or stored automatically on your computer or mobile device, by the web browser you use when you visit our website.

Essential cookies are essential to the proper operation of the site. They are used only during a session ("session cookies") and are deleted once you have left the site. The cookie you choose in the cookie banner is an exception: a refusal of optional cookies is only saved for the current session, and a consent for one month.

You can also set your browser to refuse cookies (both essential and optional), to save them only for one session, or to delete them early. Most browsers are pre-configured to accept cookies. When you deactivate cookies, certain functions (e.g. language selection) may no longer function.

Google Analytics: We do not use Google Analytics on our website.

Newsletter
By signing up to receive our newsletters, you agree to the use of these techniques. If you do not wish to do so, you must set your server or e-mail program accordingly. In every email we send, there is a link that allows you to unsubscribe.

Plugins and social media
Our site is not connected to social media.

Embedded content from other sites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles). Embedded content from other sites behaves in the same way as if the visitor were visiting that other site.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed third-party tracking tools, track your interactions with such embedded content if you have a logged-in account on their website.

How long we store personal data
We process and store your personal data for as long as is necessary for the performance of our contractual and legal obligations or for the purposes pursued by the processing, for example, for the duration of a commercial relationship (preparation, performance and termination of a contract) and beyond this period in accordance with legal retention and documentation obligations. We may retain personal data for the period during which claims can be made against us and because we are obliged to do so by law or by legitimate business interests (e.g. for evidential or documentation purposes).

Your rights to your data
If you have an account on our site, and only if you have an account, you can request to receive a file containing all the personal data we hold about you, including that which you have provided to us. You may also request the deletion of your personal data. This does not include data stored for administrative, legal or security purposes.

Disclosure of your personal data to third parties
We do not sell, trade or transfer your personally identifiable information to third parties. This does not include trusted third parties who assist us in operating our Web site or conducting our business, so long as those parties agree to keep such information confidential.

Protection of information
We implement a variety of security measures to preserve the safety of your personal information. We use state-of-the-art encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online. We also protect your information offline. Only employees who need to perform a specific job (for example, billing or customer service) have access to personally identifiable information.
